RSD, Inc. provides a variety of vocational options to adults with disabilities. One of those options is to work at a job with an employer in the community. If you decide you want to have a job in the community, our employment specialists will help you find a job that matches your interests, abilities, and strengths. The specialists will also help you learn the new job and provide on-going support, as needed. We can help you learn to use public transportation, or we may be able to provide transportation to and from work and around the community. We will assist the employers in completing forms for tax credits or other tax incentives, in troubleshooting problems, in job modification and accommodations. We will also try to help
people set up their own business and provide on-going support.

Our supports and services are individualized to meet each person’s specific needs. A team of people, called an Individualized Planning (IP) Team will help the person plan his/her future. The person and his/her guardian can decide who they want to help them. As needs change, we try to adapt the supports or help people find new supports.
