Elderly & Retirement Services

Some individuals with intellectual disabilities no longer want to participate in employment services or to work but want more social interaction, community training, crafts, to volunteer in their community and opportunities to grow their self-sufficiency skills. We can also offer services and support to those individuals wanting a more relaxed lifestyle. In Billings, at the Billings Activity Program, we provide many opportunities for arts and crafts, movies, shopping, dining, picnics, dances, walks, exercise, field trips, and volunteer work. The staff also assist people in maintaining their health. We also offer specialized activities in our other programs that focus on meeting the needs of people that can benefit from a more leisurely pace or that do not wish to work.

Caregivers, children of elderly parents with Alzheimer’s . . . Do you need a break? Many families have experienced the strain of having to provide 24-hour care for our elderly parents, specifically those who need some relief. We can provide respite services during the day, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. while you go shopping, get your hair done, get a massage, or just stay home to relax in a hot tub. Fees are based on an hourly rate, daily rate, or weekly rate. You will benefit because you can have some time to yourself. They will enjoy the activities and the chance to meet new people.
